#MiniReview #VideoGames There's something I can't quite square with most of Kaseido Games' production, and City of Gangsters (2021) doesn't escape the same fate. As a turn-based crime syndicate simulation, it is simply boring after a few hours. From the game you're suggested to continue from the tutorial, there is never any risk involved in what is supposed to be a growing criminal enterprise. Police arrests are rare setbacks in this game where numbers simply keep growing up. Competition from other gangs is inexistent, and the turn-based aspect means that they could be wiped in a couple turns if the player chooses so. Expanding illegal booze production becomes a matter of time, which seems to stretch for longer as the game progresses, a common issue with turn-based games.

Not bad but, again with most of Kaseido Games' titles, not very good.
