#MiniReview #VideoGames Encased (2021) claims heritage from 90's and 00's role-playing video games, and after more than 15h spent on it, I tend to agree. In particular, parallels with Fallout games are clear while still holding on its own. The world is original, the story is compelling, the freedom is wide, combat is optional past the introduction sequence, dialogs are short, well-written and to the point and there's some welcome fourth wall breakage to soften the overall gloomy tone.
