MacOS native emoji picker (that you can bring up with Control + Command + Space in any text field) now has an auto-replace suggestion feature based on the last word you typed.
Say you type "zombie" and then bring up the emoji picker, it's going to suggest either š§, š§āāļø or š§āāļø and if you go with any of the suggestions, it replaces the word with the selected emoji. Fine.
However, if the word was the last of a sentence and you add a period after it, the emoji picker will still suggest emojis based on the last word, but the selected emoji will be added after the period, doubling the meaning of a word you already typed.
Of course, in this case, if you want to add any other emoji like a normal non-redundant person, you have to perform an extra action. š
