Sky - Dance Of The Little Fairies
Sky 2 is the second album by English/Australian instrumental progressive rock band Sky, released in 1980.
In memoriam Zsolt Veszelovszky.

This album is an impressive collection of 51 (!) well-produced #instrumental #synthwave tracks. Perfect as background music, three of the tracks also are absolute bangers for me: Run, Confidence and The Perfect Corner.
But they have Nena's Irgendwie Irgendwo Irgendwann as soundtrack and I liked this song in the past. Now I downloaded five versions of it and I just can't stop listening to it imagining all sorts of fantasies related to the series (and not so much).

I internally rate artists on how much of their production I like, and on that scale, Skydyed seems to rate the highest that I can think of, but they are nowhere near as famous as Queen. Closely behind, Noah B who makes great background music to work with. Then, in no particular order, Nigel Stanford, Volkor X, Emancipator, nervous_testpilot, Pretty Lights, Arcade High, The Midnight and Essenger.
This is but a snapshot at this point in time, I used to listen to a mostly different set of artists and bands 5, 10 or 15 years ago.
While I was on the subject of the Deus Ex (2000) original soundtrack, I found out that on June 23rd 2020, Alexander Brandon and Michiel van den Bos, two of the original composers, released an album inspired by the same soundtrack with known themes and new tunes.
What a delightful and timely coincidence!

Today, @gid asked for music recommendations, and I immediately thought about Wintergatan.
Mixing vibraphone, theremin, autoharp, various homemade music machines and a typewriter into upbeat electronica tracks, this one-of-a-kind band is a musical gem that should appeal to everyone's sense of wonder.
