Borondo born 1989 is a Spanish street artist. He graduated in art college IES Margarita Salas Madrid and continued his fine arts studies in Madrid Complutense University. In 2012 he move to Rom, Italy for an Erasmus cultural exchange program at Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma.

It’s truly amazing how mother nature can carve out such a perfect shape

I could have done better, but between the blowing sand and wind, splashing waves, burning hot sun and the fact I’ve never painted a shark before or painted on a 3 dimensional surface like a rock…. “Sometimes I plan things but for most of the time, I just see something and create it. For example, the shape of the rock was just soo perfect that I didn’t need to think about much. The shark was already there. I just pumped a little life into him/her. So I basically just brought those lines out with a little white and black spray paint,” – Jimmy Swift

Shark fins poking out of fields of wheat

Sharks in wheat field along Highway 8 in Ontario, west of Dublin, have become a tradition.

Latest shark-artist is Anne Melady, an 75 and retired nurse and landowner. Anne thought she would have some fun by placing these “shark fins” in her wheat field west of Dublin, inspired by another shark installation last year. She calls them Great Wheat Sharks. All Melady wants is for those driving by the field to get a laugh amid the pandemic doom and gloom.
