Sadly I don't think I'm going to be able to continue to run #Soapbox. At least not integrated into #Pleroma (now #Akkoma).

Soapbox insists on having the #config be in the #database but when that's set Pleroma/Akkoma refuses to start.

Anyways, too tired right now to mess with it. Will have to look into it more tomorrow.


Fediverse please help me blow up this #opinion #config thread.

With regard to “reliability” and “likeliness to not fuck you over” sometimes referred to as “effectiveness”:

Which do you trust more in the wild? If you encountered a wild script which would you bet is going to be the one that “just works”?

It's astounding how many problems (and subsequent log entries) disappear once the local #DNS server is -- finally, after about five or seven years -- #configured to actually serve the local clients with the information they requested.
