Anyone know of a #SelfHosted alternative to #Facebook Groups that would be suitable for a neighborhood’s residents to post on and use to stay in contact? At least around here, Facebook Groups seem to be the norm and #Nextdoor also gets used a lot, but I’d rather run something than use either.

This is a curious closing paragraph after vaguely despairing about the results on Election Day evening and asking what can be done to prevent a local drunk driving incident described in great details.
I really don’t understand what this person is expecting with a post like this.
