Getting official testing done for #ADHD today. I've struggled with it untreated for almost my entire adult life, I'm really hoping a diagnosis and treatment plan will open up the door to getting medication finally.

I'm kind of scared the doctor will think I'm faking it? Like, I shouldn't have to come up with a strategy to "win" the test, I know what I've struggled with my whole life.

@Sean Tilley Coming up with a strategy to "win" the ADHD tests sounds like very ADHD to me.
It's so nuts that you feel like you have to prove something. I worked it out belatedly last year after googling what 'can't work with calendars' was called, and saw 100 results for adhd. But I just. Can't. Be bothered to face the inevitable eye roll from the doctor. Plus making the appointment is something I struggle with anyway. Good luck. Lie your ass off to tick allll the boxes they want and work it out afterwards

@RDevine @Sean Tilley If you're a woman as suggests your username, then I definitely can understand your negative expectations regarding trust from doctors.
