OpenSource softwares needs funds and it's simple:
- You can't help or you don't want to help? No problem you can still use the software for free
- You can help? help :ablobcatheartsqueeze:

If developers put a simple banner in software for donate campaign, what do is cost to you? Nothing

Especially if banner is not blocking and not visible when you start to use software

But.. :ablobcatknitsweats:

I can't understand why
Seeing this make me feel 🤮
#krita #foss #donate

🤮 Same. Bad plugin.
what if you already support them or just unable to? You don't seem to be able to dismiss it, so plugin is the only way. It's an eyesore, too.

Mmm 🤔 . Ok, fair point.

I guess a plugin like that is ok as long as the message was sent in the first place and then it let the users decide what to make about it. Maybe offering a little 'close' button could be ok too.

I was probably mostly incomfortable about the symbol: removing this part of dev asking for support.

@davidrevoy @hj Source code is open and by default anybody can fork Krita and remove unwanted things, so what happened here is not forbidden but I just feel really sad to see that instead of contributing to help to improve Krita, some people contribute just to help users to remove dev support

No dev support, no fund = no software

If Krita stop due to a lack of fund, then, users will be happy: they won't have any more banner :blobcatgooglytrash:
