SEPTEMBER 11, 2001
They will forget, unless you build a monument.
This was the day that life in America, as we knew it, was changed forever. The changes have included major wars in the Middle East.
FOREVER WARS
- According to estimates combined post-9/11 wars have resulted in: Over 4.5 million direct and indirect deaths across multiple affected countries. Massive displacement, forcing roughly 38 million people from their homes. Financial costs exceeding $8 trillion for the U.S. military alone.

- What Happened on 9/11. Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked two commercial airplanes and crashed them into the Twin Towers in New York City. Intense fires and structural damage caused both the North and South Towers to collapse. The falling debris and fires also destroyed or heavily damaged five other buildings in the World Trade Center complex, plus nearby structures. The attacks in New York killed 2,753 people.
