I have enjoyed not having to use AC much of the time for the past week or two.
Haven't turned it on all summer yet!
Me too @Brian Fitzgerald. It’s rainy and cool today (68). Nice day to read books in my recliner and veg.
Good for you @Adam Hunt…unless you are a lizard (love the heat).
We have had hot and humid days here, including some with humidexes of 40°C and above, but we prefer to preserve our warm weather acclimatization.

That looks like a happy tomato. I guess he will ketchup on his reading...
A hot tomato! I pulled a cherry tomato off of someone’s vine yesterday, and wow! Explosion of sweet.
That’s HOT @Adam Hunt. We haven’t had any 100ºF weather this year, and I’m happy about that. Some 90s but still pretty nice summer.

Our biggest issue here in #Ottawa this summer has been the huge amounts of rain we have had. I mean the city does look nice and green and the forest fire risk in low, but it is hard to do stuff when it rains. And now we have this today:

MetNotes (1): A message from your forecaster

Valid: 8:00 PM EDT Friday 16 August 2024 - 8:00 PM EDT Sunday 18 August 2024 Locally heavy rain is possible as a moisture-laden system approaches. This pattern can bring significant rainfall amounts, high rainfall rates and thunderstorms. Monitor forecasts as details will become more certain as the event draws closer.

Not only has it been a wet summer here, it was a rainy winter (almost no snow) and it’s raining right now. I think I’m growing gills.
I thought you could become acclimated to heavy rain if you persistently avoided buildings, umbrellas, and other sheltering methods.

FYI, the frogs are back. Presumably, they'd been out courting.
Probably hanging cool with the tomatoes...
Did they ride up to Miss Mousey’s door @Brian Fitzgerald?
