Hello !Friendica Support
I saw there is alot of fuss about #Friendica now supporting Mastodon clients with the new API that @Michael Vogel implemented, so I thought lets try some client for GNU/Linux and took the first one Searx returned, it is called Tootle and available via standard Ubuntu repository.
Installed it, entered the domain of my instance, it opened some oauth page where I clicked on yes... and nothing happens, but Tootle expects some "Code" to be entered.

  • Maybe someone is brave enough to install this Electron (I think it is) based client and can confirm my problem.
  • Can suggest some other client for now?
@Michael Vogel ok, but the page and the button already works? Hmm so we can only use clients with login (user+password)?
@Michael Vogel ok, so Tootle probably doesn't work because it uses oauth with code, but oauth should work? I guess in that case the client would require the interaction via webbrowser and then would check for the authentification and just proceed with the signup/connection?
@Michael Vogel just to make sure... is there any setting I need to do in Friendica, some addon to activate, some tweak?
@Michael Vogel I can test for iOS and macOS if there is something new

@Michael Vogel app connected with the code but crashes instantly after, restarting the app shows the timeline shortly and then the app crashes again.

But anyway, I will try some other app, Tootle for Linux does not work.

@Michael Vogel hast du einen Client für Linux der funktioniert?

Braucht es noch nen issue bei Tootle im Repo?
