Hello !Friendica Support
when I compare this post once here and then here, there is mentions shown in Mastodon. Can I activate that I see this mentions as well in the "body" part of the post on #Friendica?
I think you are looking for the "Settings -> Additional Features -> Post Composition Features -> Explicite Mentioning" settings.
@Tobias hmm this is on and locked by admin setting, this is only valid for the composing of new messages, I mean how it is shown when I look at a post, it is always hard to see who is meant, take the post I linked, how do I know who he is replying to? I usually then go to the remote post in Mastdodon to find this out.
@utzer For public postings they are not visible. @Michael Vogel implemented something so that the TO and CC fields are shown, but I don't think this is shown for public postings as well.
@utzer actually, it is shown, but only halve the information (e.g. for me that I am in the BCC list) but not who was replied to. It should be visible from the indentation of the posting in the thread though.
@utzer ... but it is not when you have selected the "intelligent threading" option in the "Display Settings".
@Tobias smart threading you mean? I do not see a difference in that example...
@utzer using vier the difference is visible (or at least I imagined that I saw the difference)
@Tobias @Michael Vogel yes, I think it is. But when we already have this, can we make it easier to see?
@utzer @Tobias
I usually click on "reply" 😀
@Liwott @Tobias yes, good Idea, I think that would work too... is the adressed user account shown first? What if there are more than one? I think in my example it is two.
