I have this idea, and please tell me if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking every country and culture has their own equivalent of a burger and fries.

Is considered the great American (incert your own country) food
Is fairly inexpensive, and is the most common fast food or casual diner food
Kids love it!
If someone orders it in a restaurant where there are other options, they're jokingly considered boring or have a lack of imagination.

Non-Americans, what is that food for you?

@👩‍🦯The Blind Fraggle Ham-Swiss baguette sandwich in France. Ordered anywhere than bakeries or bistros, you would get weird looks.
Oh my it does sound good right now though!
@👩‍🦯The Blind Fraggle Oh, in most bakeries and bistros, it's really good. In festivals, not so much. 😬

that's probably https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doner_kebab nowadays.

> It would soon become one of the top-selling fast food and street food dishes in Germany and much of Europe, and popular around the world.

@Beko Pharm @👩‍🦯The Blind Fraggle It's very popular in France as well, although the traditional bakeries and bistros stay a staple of French "fast food" if that term even makes sense in France outside of American chains.
