Mine is in the raptor phase, which may extend to 5-7 years.

Not if that's your side of the bed. Our cat, Isis, was on my side at bedtime a few nights ago. Asked nicely but she wouldn't move. I had to use the top cover to roll her away. Gently but firmly. She's still pissed at me. She knows the safest place for her to sleep with us is at the foot of the bed though.
