@grin I'm not trying to say Mozilla is perfect, but there are some big differences here. Google's influence regarding the web and web standards is much larger than Mozilla's has been for at least 10-15 years now. I'm also not aware of any instances where Mozilla held back an open standard to promote an internally developed and patented one.
Again, this doesn't mean what Mozilla has done is fine, but it does mean what Google has the power to do is concerning
