hello. in my mastodon & sharkey instances, i can extend the range of hashtagged posts available from other servers by also following several @relay.fedi.buzz tags, eg

@tag-kmymoney@relay.fedi.buzz
@tag-lesbian@relay.fedi.buzz
@tag-linuxwomen@relay.fedi.buzz
@tag-montypython@relay.fedi.buzz

unfortunately, these seem non-functional in all my #friendica accounts.

am i doing something wrong? is there a way to make them work pls? 🤔🤷‍♀️

relay.fedi.buzz works with Friendica as well. Since this is a relay server, the admin has to follow these accounts from the command line: bin/console relay add .....

@Melissa BearTrix ah, right, well i dunno, but maybe not. if not, that would turn out to be a real bummer, especially if the other two admins are willing & able to do it. it would be an important consideration for me in my endless agonising about which instance to use as my most comfy "daily" one.

btw, assuming you don't have access, it would be a perfect, albeit unhappy, illustration of my earlier concern:

somewhat inconvenient in that any time i wish to add any new relay.fedi.buzz accounts i have to involve my instance-admin, rather than simply do it myself like in my sharkey & masto accounts

I even looked to see if I could change your account to admin privileges... But where is that setting

@Melissa BearTrix ta but no, i could & should not be an instance administrator, as i have zero knowledge about any aspects of doing that. my hope is that @Raroun and @Tuxi ⁂ [being the owners & admins of my other two friendica accounts] might have the knowledge & experience to advise me on whether they are able & willing to run those commands.

oh wow, excellent, thanks very much for doing that!

i have now added all eleven to my existing saved searches. so far none of them generated any results here [unlike in my Masto account], but hopefully over time some more federating will happen to help change that.
