One personal. One professional.
Something that I've been working on these past couple of years is to reduce the number of email accounts I have. I used to have a 8 or more at a time, but since I've become more involved in Internet privacy and security I'm bringing that number down to 2 (one work and one personal) and locking them down as much as possible.
I have ones for work, personal, family and iCloud.
@Evan Prodromou My two email addresses end up in the same inbox, does this count as 1 or 2?
3 or more. Because I use email aliases and the Hide my Email feature of iCloud for online registrations.
does a catchall on my own domain counts as one email address or as many as i actually use? 😂
It depends on what you mean by "used".
Two, really, personal and work. But I have a catch-all email @ my personal domain that redirects to the personal one, so I give out a unique email address to every account or mailing list I sign up for.
oh. "E-Mail". 3 or more, of course. Physical: 2. Should get better at reading.
I mean, a home email, a work email, a Google identity, and there's 3 right there. Though the work email, like the Google one, is mostly used for identity, with Slack and Meet and F2F for comms.
public personal, private personal, shared family, work.
I’m counting email aliases from Firefox Relay, which I can highly recommend to anyone not wanting to hand out their actual email address all over the internet.
i'm using "plus addressing" regularly; "name+something@domain.com" which helps me with filtering an spam fighting

So, easily more than 3 addresses in that sense, but using only 1 account to process them
Only remembered aliasses after voting, but luckily I was already ‘three or more’ with proper email accounts 😇
16.

16 email addresses, Evan.

I might have a problem.
Apple, Google, real.
despite the huge uptake in users recently, mastodon still is nerdland it seems 😀 … honestly, I love this phase and I will miss it dearly once real mainstream users have found their way here.
I have a couple compartmentalizations in life.
I use a generated email from either DuckDuckGo or Apple, or just make one up using my personal domain
Each service I am using has it's own email-address (and passwords). Just to reduce the blast-radius in case one service got breached.
Those are just aliases setup on mail server.
I voted 3+ based on my actual discrete emails but now that I’m thinking about it again if you include plus addresses and hide my email addresses it’s probably a lot more. But they all go to three inboxes that I actually check.
I am amazed. I guess it's in context on this network. I'm 3+.
Rereading the question. It seems ambiguous. What does "used" mean?
I use tagged email addresses extensively so my answer is either 2 or like 50. One for every service, really.
