Smartphone innovation idea: distance sensors and collusion warning system.
Additional cameras and depth sensors are placed on top edges to detect if smartphone owner is about to walk into an obstacle while watching Instagram or texting. Then the user is alerted by screen flashing and vibrate.
iPhones and fancy Android devices could also utilize computer vision to detect danger (like road crossings) and show little popup view instructing the user which way to go to avoid collisions without having to stop looking at the screen.
I mean if they keep adding extra cameras they should do something useful with them. No one really needs fake portrait blur but I keep seeing people walking into closed doors and lamp posts.

•It reminded me that sci-fi movie with inmates wearing explosive collars on their necks. These also beeped when brought out of range :)

•I think BBC deployed some in their offices.

•The collars there worked the other way around though - they first beeped and then went off if prisoners got too far from each other :)
