Classic liberalism:
- Everyone should be nice to each other because all of us are in this together.
- I disagree.
- It is okay, you'll get it later.
Modern liberalism:
- Everyone has to be nice to each other because all of us are in this together.
- I disagree.

•Agreed. Reminds me of an article that calls this phenomenon "Liberal Fascism".

The left say "we have enough land for everyone", which actually also is kind of true. What we haven't done properly though is to handle it all. People come here and gets "locked in", many for years and years, where they cannot apply for jobs, they cannot go to school, whilst waiting for the paperwork to trickle down the administration, which moves at tectonic pace.
Now, if you like me point out that we now are having problems with integration, and that the people suffering the most from it actually are the immigrants, you will be painted out as a people-hating neo-nazi, when all you wish for is to have a discussion on if we are truly doing things correctly and in the best way possible.

•In the old days, that was called argumentum ad hominem and it was considered a low way to engage in a discussion.

Which response simply proves your conclusion: that there is no more sophisticated level of discussion at the table. Sadly, for meaningful discussion, such basic rules must apply but it requires some appreciation of argument formulation and debate.
