Today is IDAD, the International Day Against DRM. DRM, short for Digital Rights Management, is the practice of imposing technological restrictions to control what people can do with digital media. DRM is an anti-feature: it prevents you from doing what would be possible without it. It denies you the ability to share with others and can delete media you've already bought without question. No consumer asks for or wants DRM.

I support the freedom to share and thus support DRM-free media sources, and I hope you will too. Here's a small list of DRM-free media sources:
- Bandcamp is a DRM-free source of music that directly supports the artists. Preview tracks in full and download them in common formats: https://bandcamp.com/
- Leanpub is a DRM-free source of eBooks and courses: https://leanpub.com/
- Standard Ebooks publishes public-domain eBooks: https://standardebooks.org/
