The CBC radio program As It Happens, one April first, announced that the government was abolishing TV in Canada. It was culturally worthless. One man on the street interviewed about the decision said, "I don't care about that. I just want to see Mork and Mindy."

I listened to As It Happens on short wave, the CBC Northern Service. I also listed to the Royal Canadian Air Farce, back when it was on radio.
