I found it on reddit, but I did a reverse image search to find the source, and it seems to be posted in many placed. Pinterest, etc. Don't know the original source.

I don't think it's a montage. The photo @Germo Veltmaat provided has enough earthshine detail to be lightened up to make this image. The rotational position of the lunar features relative to the flares is the same in both.
