A SPECIAL VISITOR IN THE CITY
Well, Hello there. What a surprise!! How did you get yourself way up here on the 2nd floor window ledge? What are you? A grasshopper? A cricket?

I gently captured the insect and placed it in a large, glass vase with a little honey water. I could observe its features and try to identify it.
Identified.
- The Praying Mantis is one type that can change color from green to brown and vice versa. While in its nymph phase, the praying mantis can take on a brownish hue after molting. This change occurs gradually, over several days.
- Certain species of praying mantises undergo wing development after their final molt, transitioning from wingless nymphs to winged adults. This process, known as metamorphosis, involves significant physiological changes that enable the mantis to take flight and engage in aerial dispersal.
