!Friendica Support

Is there a way to set content warnings and image descriptions in Friendica?
@Rick [Friendica] via the abstract bbcode tag.

But there are serious caveats right now.
Image descriptions can be added into the empty space between the img and /img tag. I don't know about content warnings though.
@Rick [Friendica] Content warnings are by default enabled, I guess it is a setting in your profile.

Just checked - content warnings from Mastodon work - I can see an open/close UI Element.

@Roland Häder - I don't get the same from your post, everything is shown

#NSFW
The CW does not work on tusky though, only on Friendica in the browser
@Rick [Friendica] Unfortunate, per-post/comment CW support is not part of #Friendica . Maybe a checkbox would do the trick?
@Rick [Friendica] Can you see my reply above?
@Ian Molton About the bbcode tag? I don't know what that is
@Rick [Friendica] write
[abstract] CW message[/abstract]
Protected text
@Ian Molton

I have done some more testing and found that using "abstract" works fine for text. But images are still visible. Any idea how to hide images behind a CW

Looking into the status messages that are sent via the ActivityPub Protocol, I can see that the "spoiler_text" field is used for the content warning. There is also a "sensitive" field that remains empty

Not here on Friendica, you have to activate the NSFW addon. But on Mastodon the image will be hidden.

@Rick [Friendica] tl;dr: Content warnings on #friendica work relatively reasy. You need to use the [abstract] and [/abstract] bbcode. The main visible text can be placed within these. Everything else should be hidden behind a CW.

Except for yourself! You can always see your own messages in clear and the text from the abstract is weirdly hidden from you.

But you can check out if the hiding feature because of the CW works by opening your post from a inkognito browser/tab or so. ;)
@hackbyte (friendica) oh, no, it is. You confused me with the word main.

Id call the invisible part the main content.

@AndiS@Rick [Friendica] there is a thread on this forum about fixing/improving CWs. Your input there would help.
