Planned removal of the poke feature

Hi !Friendica Support,

This is a friendly notice that we will be removing the poke feature from Friendica in the upcoming release planned for September. This Friendica-only feature sees very little use and doesn't provide any real benefit over regular posts that can federate with more ActivityPub systems.

It's time to say goodbye to an odd bit of Friendica/Mistpark history.

I'm wondering about that too, I've never used it myself other that for testing purposes, and nobody dared to poke me either in 6 years of using Friendica!

@Hypolite Petovan@Schmaker Thing is, could as well just write a DM saying "poke" 🤷 and even that probably noone does, since it would be somewhat rude I guess.

In real life people would get angry if you walked around and poked them.

Lol, i didn't even know that it actually is/was a thing .. funny..

No problems ... just poking around is ... yeah weird.. ;)
