I just realized that I have the 06.2023 dev install that doesn't have the photo upload and posting settings that 04.2023 stable has. Is there is a way to update it so it does or to get out of dev?
@Anubis2814 Friendica version are incremental, meaning the 06.2023 version has all the features that the 04.2023 version has. Since the 06.2023 hasn't been released yet, it is only available on the develop branch.
We fixed this last time we were on the call together. Thanks! It works fine now thanks to you
@Anubis2814 I just received this reply of yours 😅

If the "drag & drop" photo upload is not shown in "06.2023 developer", please delete your browser cache.
After that, it should appear again.
@Raroun @Anubis2814 Doesn't Frriendica use cache-busting against this? With cache-busting static files like JavaScript and CSS files are getting a version number or even commit id attached to their URLs, e.g. https://host/path/main.css?v=1.0.0&branch=stable Then each time you either switch the branch or upgrade the version, the browser sees a new URL and is forced to fetch it rather than checking its cache. Caching CSS/JavaScript files was/is still (?) buggy. Such search for it and you will find more detailed explanations.
@Roland Häder
I have experienced several timees when upgrading to Developer that i have to delete the Browser Cache.
Never experienced it when switching to a new stable 😀
@Raroun This is a byproduct of our cache buster feature based on the version string. When you switch to a new stable version, the version string changes, which makes your browser download a new copy of all the CSS and JS files. However, when pulling develop, the version doesn't change (it's still 2023.06-dev) so the files have to be updated manually.
@Anubis2814 Please setup #LetsEncrypt SSL on your server. It is free of charge. It is today no more modern or acceptable to have clear-text connections (not SSL/TLS).
My server is a personal linux sandbox, specifically for development. No one else gets to use it.
