@Mandu 🥟 Interestingly (or not), I believe Starfleet would have lost in an open conflict with the Galactic Empire, since the latter was well-equipped for large scale confrontations, while it struggled against guerilla warfare.
@Mandu 🥟 I see where you're going, but I'm afraid they would be that many more targets for the Death Star to vaporize! The Rebellion worked because they weren't a target big enough to reliably train large scale weapons on them.
If you're telling me a plucky band of Starfleet survivors from the expected massacres banded together with a couple of token Klingon and Romulan refugees to conduct a single small-scale high-risk mission to unseat the Emperor and defeat Darth Vader, now we're talking!
