Did Microsoft quickly fix the issue that could effectively lead to the breach of multiple customers' networks and services? Of course not. They took more than 90 days to implement a partial #fix—and only for new applications loaded in the service.

Um well if you use Microsoft software you expect insecure software, it is a feature, not a bug!
Exactly. This is Microsoft's history, as well as present state.
Je n'ai que deux mots pour vous : UNIX/LINUX
@Adam Hunt Yes. A multi-national, multi-trillion dollar company should have the resources to address defects in its products. Microsoft continues to be the shining example of mediocrity over all.
I think we misunderstand, or maybe we misunderstand. As Adam so succinctly said, these are not all "bugs" as such. Microsoft has a long history of working with US intelligence agencies, presumably with the intent of providing exploits. Sometimes these are found, and other times people find side-effects of the intended exploit. And so it goes, cycle after cycle.
... other times it is simple incompetence.
I thought they were just keeping the antivirus companies in profits for kickbacks.
