Let’s not forget that our real enemy is big tech companies and not random Fediverse users.
But deliberate Fediverse users are okay?
You know what I meant
I could never figure out why they called it RAM either. Seems pretty deliberate to me.
I live rent free in the minds of quite a few tbh including one crying about me this morning 7 months after the fact

What happened this morning? Also... speaking of rent-free... one of your biggest fans has come back to fediverse after you expired his mentality so badly being rent-free in his mind.

thats the one im talking about, someone put a screenshot in the matrix lol
this, he basically lowered the average IQ of the network to 70.

Now, that is true.

And I congratulate you for it.

the idea is to increase the population and spread of the fediverse. the more people, including brainlets who know about it the more likely it is to be healthy and succeed.

wrapping fediverse in this 'techosphere' where people think it's some hacker-tier shit to use is a barrier to entry. the easier it is to use for people, the healthier it will be

I completely agree. And I’ve been through this once before with Spinster. There is a contingency here who just hates change, and will spend their dying breath trying to keep the Fediverse as small and irrelevant as possible. And to that I say: get rekt as I run them over with a horde of new users.
FSE didn't try to drive us off like they did with gab, so we must have done something right :shrug_akko:
I wasn't there for the Gabbening but I'm on FSE and I like poa.st.
I only read up on the cliffnotes, but it sounded like what would happen if brighteon was 100x more active today. Wall to wall shit boomer takes

To be honest with you... I'm not sure what to make of it all. When people were saying "Hurr... graf is the new Torba" that actually made me wonder... "Well if graf's the new Torba, were Torba and gab really all that bad?"

There's two sides to every story and of course being here, I'm only going to get the fedi's side of things. I know that FSE are full of people who left Gab. But... I think their issue is more to do with how inept Torba and the expired mentality guy are with technology. When Gab took them to the fediverse, they realized that there are people doing the Twitter thing that never donated a cent to Torba and are having a much better experience.

Also keep in mind the retards who have been trying to bully you off. Retards like Zemichi and Rehnsturm. They were supposedly really important in the Gabbening but from what I can tell, they mostly just disagree with Gab because they really enjoy lolicon. If that's what the opposition to Gab is... were Gab really the bad guys?

The difference is that Gab had no idea what they were doing or why they were doing it. In addition, they went out of their way to alienate every possible ally. Poast is the exact opposite in both these regards.

The thing with FSE vs. Gab is that there was a pretty strong contingent of gabfugees on FSE, so there were a lot of people that were personally upset with Gab before they arrived, and Gab itself was taking this sort of "The fediverse is all Gab now" approach. Imagine what would happen if Twitter had actually charged money, spent all the money on a bee farm, and then started federating with poa.st, flooding the place with awful Twitter shit and bots. I figure a lot of people that were banned/shadowbanned/etc. from Twitter would have some words. (Bot traffic from Gab actually tripped FSE's ad hoc DDoS stuff twice. Both times, it took more than a week for anyone to notice, because nothing of value was lost.)

Contrast with poa.st's approach to fedi, which was way, way more friendly.

It’s genuinely sad that I can’t tag you, @freemo, @stux, and @p in a thread without it divulging into chaos and screaming

Especially since y’all are all the most prominent of #Fediverse admins anyways
