I have a different model spec an, same brand though. I haven't used it much lately, I use it to tune radio transceivers. The colors and the CRT screen on the one in the picture just reming me of the Hitachi. My mistake. Super neat stuff, though.

nah the one on the bottom is a new (well, was a new) GW Instek. A chinese brand that still makes crt tubes. It has an amazing feature where it can show both channels on screen at the same time and sync them both so I use it a lot

okay so what microphone/ headphones should i get

open-back over-ear headphones are great for extended use. Bonus points if the ear pads are replaceable. I’ve been using a razer kraken for about three years now because I’m a pro gameist. It’s actually absurdly comfy. I often just have it on when not even listening to anything, my head just feels at home in it. They’re on the clunky side, but I can easily go to sleep with them on.

don't spend more than $60 on headphones unless every part of them is replaceable and you can purchase parts

I replaced the ear pads on these last summer with third party ones. After that I really don’t give a fuck.

I guess chinese slave labor is plentiful and available so you can always pay exorbitant amounts of money to american companies to import more of their worthless garbage for you when it breaks
