The article goes on to tell users how to get around the censorship by using a third party app, but the fact remains that the censored accounts will not be visible to most users.

•I’m wholly committed to Mastodon. I opened an account on Bluesky as a sidekick, only in hopes of building more community for when I’m finished with my book. But I haven’t invested much energy there. I’m SO glad that’s the case.
All of those people thinking Bluesky was all that because there’s a bit of a learning curve to Mastodon onboarding.
People will sell their soul for the fast-food version of anything.
