Only that spring break here is 3 weeks at end of April / early May.
@adnan yes, and it's not till September or October for our friends in Australia and Argentina.
n the southern hemisphere, it will be winter....
@george I realise it won't be spring until September in the south, but I think that still counts as 2023.
ok, will accept that.... but its not really the same. Is spring break in the NH, not a very long school holiday ? A mid year one ?
We don't really have a spring break this year since both kids will be working/studying through the break.

But it looks like I do have a work event which will require travel, so ...
Where would I go? I can't afford to do anything.
If I went anywhere, how could I enjoy a "vacation" amongst all that's going on. It's hard enough turning off the compassionate part of my brain for a few hours just to enjoy a video game.
nothing for spring break, but I'm doing this later in the year

This was interesting.

I'm a strong yes. I took three days last week when my kids were out of school to go to the Finger Lakes in NY.

The structure of this question seems to have thrown off a lot of people, especially those in the Southern hemisphere.
I propose a poll about the geographic origin of followers. And by continents. Perhaps a different picture emerges than just the consideration of the Southern hemisphere. ;)
Okay, since @evan may assumes that a large part of his followers come from the US, I understand his reference to the Q&A that I should make a poll for his followers 😁.

So, my question to all who answer his beautiful surveys, where are you located?

  • North / South Amerika (0 votes)
  • Europe / Afrika (0 votes)
  • Asia / India (0 votes)

@beandev this is not something I assume, actually.
I didn't really thought that and just wanted to have a little fun. 😀

However, I am very interested in the result. And thank you for the boost.
I think part of it is that 'Spring Break' isn't really a thing here down under, at least not in the way it is in the US.

Here in New Zealand, our big school break is around Xmas time, where students have an extended break (typically a month or two, but it varies between schools), while between the 4 terms during the year there's a 2-week break.

Though for us working folks, we need to take time off etc etc, and who can afford to pay for a break in this economy? 😛
a large part might be that Easter is in Autumn in the South, there is no equivalent holiday in our Speing, which is in the run-up to the main holiday season anyway
@jaymo31415 right, but it says "in 2023", not "right now".
ok thanks, indeed. I was trying to echo the NZ comment that “Spring Break” is not a phrase or concept that is in broad use in Australia either.
I don't really know what Spring Break is. American pop culture informs me it's a big party for students.
@basil if only there were a way for people to find out more about things they don't know
ok snarky pants 😜
Just suggesting a reason numbers may be skewed.
@basil yes, I think "spring vacation" would have been easier for people to understand, and would include, say, a long weekend for Easter.
@basil Well, apart from Easter being in Autumn, not Spring, of course.
