For us the 8 days are just for the kids, and they’re already starting to get to an age where it’s a bit ridiculous (17 and 19). For adults on either side of our family (mine celebrates Christmas, his Hanukkah) presents just aren’t a huge part of our traditions at all… if we found something perfect then we’d give an adult a single present. Some years I give my sisters/mom/niece/nephews a gift, others not. Keep ‘em guessing 😉
I considered whether I needed to count socks as one or two gifts, but no, I think each pair of socks counts as a separate gift, but I’m in the 6 to 20 category no matter the opinion on whether socks count as 1 or 2 items.
We don't give stuff to each other in my family for many years. Yes, we gift each other with: presence, talks, trips & travel together. Kids are used to it and are okay with that. If not, there are therapists out there 😀
Too late for the Dutch to answer. Sinterklaas has his birthday on December 5th and celebrates by giving presents to all kids (and grown up kids) who behaved well in the past year. No presents under the Christmas tree.
Absolutely, often we make candied pecans, savory pecans, beef jerkey and other holiday treats to share, but, honestly, I didn’t include these in my gift counts. *Asterisk on my survey response then. Making food to share is our love language and our main way of giving, but I didn’t think to include in the quick poll answer

•For me personally, many of my gifts are homemade foods. Usually cookies, fruitcake, or eggnog.
What about you?
