@Brad Koehn ☑️ I laughed to tears yesterday looking at it. Where it was posted on Twitter, many an American got confused and didn't immediately get it was a parody.

And I want a "Food Mommy" tote bag.
I do! And this made me laugh to tears.
Haha, as if there'd ever be a grocery store chain called "Kroger". 😉
@Brad Koehn ☑️ For me, it's the combination of:
- Made-up region names ("Plain Plains" is my favorite with "Gulf Toast" and "Mid-Up" in tow).
- Made-up supermarket brand name and logos ("Food mommy" for the win and "Chunk-E Friend" as a close second).
- Except Kroger that still sounds like it could be completely made up.
- Actual Americans not immediately realizing this map was made-up from top to bottom because everything is still in the bounds of American culture.
Kroger was what threw me. So many were too weird, but then there was Kroger.

I grew up with Piggly-Wiggly, Pick ‘n Save, and more.
@Brad Koehn ☑️ Kroger is a weird supermarket brand for me compared to ShopRite, Key Foods or Walmart.

Now Piggly-Wiggly definitely sounds made up, I can even picture a fake cartoon pig that would go with it.
@Brad Koehn ☑️ Wow, you didn’t have to create a fake website to prove my point 😜
