Content warning: Mastodon Quotes / Drükos

Oh, better this

@utzer ~Friendica~ There's nothing linking a post with its quotes at the moment, so we can't include them in the conversation thread just yet.

@Hypolite Petovan yes, I am aware of that, but when we quote a post Friendica would be able to reference that as a reply to that post, right?

And for the future it would be possible to have some notification below a post like for the reshare, right?
@utzer ~Friendica~ I’m not sure if we can do that with #ActivityPub, I’m not even sure it’s desirable. What’s the need?

@Hypolite Petovan to have less possibilities for people to talk behind your back assuming the worst of people.

But mainly it would be a nice feature to have this information to see who shares your posts to where.

May I add, it also allows you to track what people do with your ideas and sometimes help them improving their work by pointing out misconceptions. Like the reasons why one would be interested in the list of citations of a given scientific paper.

I created a related issue some time ago.
@utzer ~Friendica~ If they didn't post a reply to you, then they clearly didn't want to engage directly with you, I'm not sure it's a good idea to have a comprehensive list of negative social engagement, the same way I don't like the Dislike button.

@Hypolite Petovan then make a feature as always to opt in. 😁

I like to see if someone takes my post and shares it, if I don't like that reshare with the added context I have ways to deal with it or ignore it (mostly what I do with shit coming at me from the internet), but I have a choice then.
