Thinking about trying some fediverse software besides Masto again. I was trying out Firefish, but it had some problems, and then the entire instance I was trying suffered a critical existence failure... Any other platforms people would recommend? Pleroma, Freindica, etc? In particular, I'd like to hear what features they have that Masto doesn't. :/

I used frendica a while back, but it was really slow to load at the time. Hopefully they've fixed that by now?

@dwc @Angle it really depends on the last time you tried it. It will never be as snappy as other Fediverse software, that's for sure. But we've gradually improved performances over the last 7 years I've been with the project. So it's the fastest it's ever been, which may still pale in comparison to other platforms.
