A thing I realized pretty recently is that all the attributes of femininity (the looks, the postures, the clothes) have to be learned. "What (heterosexual) men like" is a complete fiction that women have to decide to buy into at great cost (time and money) or else face intense social shame.
This is why I'm equally respectful of the women who buy into the femme aesthetics, moves and fashion, than the ones who do not. Both these stances have an associated hefty cost, there's no default/inherent/neutral/passive femininity that can be a non-choice.
