While wandering to the office this morning, a Buff-banded Rail darted across my path, so I spent a few minutes stalking it.

A very patterned bird with a pointy beak. It has brown scalloped wing feathers, It has black and white striped neck, chest and belly. russet back of neck, white brow and a russet beak.
