•I remember when he was elected prime minister for the first time in the 1990s. I still lived in Israel then. I certainly didn't support his right wing and neoliberal views, but I understood people voting for him. He was charismatic and promised everything to everyone. He lost the next election and retired from politics. Sadly, he came back.
When he became prime minister again in 2009 (I think), it was with a far right coalition, and it was scary (although I no longer was in Israel). Needless to say, it's gone from bad to worse since then. But I didn't realise how bad until the last two years.
