I have a very dark, very French thought that popped in my mind after the terrible #BeyrouthBlast and I think I will keep it to myself.
But then again, would you have posted this here if you didn't want anyone to pry it out of you? #curious about what dark French thoughts are.
something related to Toulouse 2001 maybe?

Alright, you are terrible people and I'll regret this: Around the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990), French people started to say "It's Beirut" to say "It's a mess". Twenty years later, Beirut was rebuilt but the expression still lived on in France out of habit.

Unfortunately, it's become accurate again. 😰
