I do enjoy the creativity this time of year.

#october #decorations.

N. E. Felibata 👽 reshared this.

Goodness me. They must have had a lot of fun with that @Katherine Bond

That really had to be fun to do @Shonie Hutter @Donna McClure

I’m off to see your photos, Donna. 😀

I wonder if the person that did it is a postal worker or someone that is family/friends. It is well done & so clever @Katherine Bond & @Shonie Hutter.
Good question. Looks like an authentic bag @Donna McClure
It does @Katherine Bond, it might be possible to get something close to authentic at a costume store. I'm guessing the postal service doe3sn't dole them out to anyone other than the mail carriers.
There’s construction going on down the street and they’ve set out a skeleton with a safety vest, sunglasses, and a hard hat.

I would guess not @Donna McClure. Mail fraud.

Cool @Jodi K

They had a skeleton sitting at a table in Qdobas wearing sunglasses and a durag and we said “He’s been waiting too long for his order.”

That is cool @Jodi K.

I like that too @Katherine Bond. I didn't see any good retail displays depicting Halloween but Costco was full of Christmas!!

What?! Already?! NOOOOO
nativity
The holidays are becoming all jumbled together.

Oh, I don't know. That's a pretty good representation of Christmas. Quite true to traditions like Krampus and the Mari Lwyd.

But, where's the Easter Bunny...?

But, where’s the Easter Bunny…?

@Simon Ashcroft I think they ate him.

...supervising the decoration/camouflage of magic eggs.
The runes of rabbits could confound a warren of wizards.
The gestures of the skeletons all seem to say "Jesus, he looks tender and juicy!"
@Jodi K, Costco has Christmas decor up for sale in late August or early September. It starts slow but I was just there Friday & it is full blown "Christmas is coming"!!
That is quite the scene @Brian Fitzgerald. Made me laugh!
Costco is always in advance @Katherine Bond. However, every year when I see the first Christmas items for sale it is always kind of a shock.
House near me puts skeletons climbing up their walls so they look as if they're trying to get in the windows.
wedding party
The wedding party I saw a week ago has been augmented with several more wedding guests, two pole dancers, a lawnmower-equipped murder scene, and a funeral.

In this detail of the lawnmower man, I notice now that one of the pole dancers is a brunette.
wedding party
Here, we have a blonde pole dancer, a bartender, and some drunk with their head in a bucket.
I wonder if the wedding party display is a "stone soup" kind of endeavor where a number of people bring something to contribute flavor.
Maybe the guy with his head in a bucket thought he was bobbing for apples @Brian Fitzgerald. 🤣
That is a nicer thought than emptying one's system of excess alcohol. I've not seen any wedding receptions that feature bobbing for apples, though.

This one made me laugh

🤣 @Brian Fitzgerald! I have heard of Halloween themed weddings so it is possible. However your take is probably right!!

That is a good one @Katherine Bond!! 🤣

@Brian Fitzgerald Thanks for those . I really enjoyed them 🤒
People down the block used to have six or seven carved pumpkins (all different) each year. In 2020, one had a mask, and another was carved with the word "VOTE". Sadly, they've moved and the current owners just put out plain gourds and a skeleton. Not as fun.
Meanwhile, the construction worker skeleton has some new accessories: an orange flag, a safety yellow/greenish hoodie, canvas pants, and rubber boots.
Noticed a house down the street is doing a different skeleton display every day. Today was an homage to E.T. and Elliot on the bike.
