US Beef Recall: Nearly 30,000 Pounds Of Argentine Beef Pulled Amid Trump’s Import Push
Shoppers in Texas and Florida are being urged to check their freezers after the USDA announced the recall of nearly 30,000 pounds of raw beef imported from Argentina. The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said Friday that Corte Argentino USA LLC, an Aventura, Florida-based company, is recalling the beef products after they entered the United States without the required import reinspection. The issue was identified during routine inspection activities.
Chinese customs rejected a 22 ton shipment of Argentine beef in March after testing found chloramphenicol, an antibiotic banned in cattle raised for slaughter since 1995.
