Tracking arrows breaks my immersion and makes the game feel less realistic in turned based combat in #TTRPGs

@Hypolite Petovan Ammunition. like "I have 10 arrows, I shoot the orc, I have 9 arrows".

It's heavily implied in most turn based systems (stated in AD&D but not 3.5 or 5th edition D&D) that there's more attacks happening in a round than you roll for. The assumption is you do 3-4 attacks and roll to see if *any* of them hit is the vibe. But that breaks down when I'm firing arrows and tracking each one. It makes the turns make less sense to me.

@silverwizard I didn't know this particular implication, so it does make sense in that regard.
@Hypolite Petovan Page 61 AD&D Dungeon Masters Guide and every single nerd argument about if turn based combat is realistic.
@silverwizard I've only ever played AD&D 3.5, 5th edition and Hyperborea, so it looks like I've narrowly avoided this implication all my gamer life.
