The #vegan timeline here is abysmal. It’s no wonder people think vegans starve themselves. Chips isn’t a meal. Anyway… here’s some real food. (stop asking me if it’s really vegan. it is)

Alex Gleason reshared this.

looks compelling, is that cheese on the pizza?
The best vegan cheese is fermented cashew milk. It’s made practically the same way.
I dunno about that boss
i love shepherd's pie too much to go vegan. those sushi rolls look really tasty tho

Every flavor and texture you can imagine can be made with plants. Shepard’s pie would be easy to do vegan. It’s nearly identical and often better.

Food tech has really gone far these days.

This one still gets me.

But even crazier is this isn’t a lab invention. This is made with traditional techniques we’ve known for thousands of years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheat_gluten_(food)

Vegans don't starve themselves, they just pay more for the same food (yes it's made differently but taste and visual wise it's the same).
Only because 1) The government subsidizes meat and dairy. Our tax dollars at work. 2) The demand isn’t enough for it to scale yet. This problem gets fixed the more people go vegan.

That being said, rice and beans are as cheap a meal gets. Meat is a luxury item.
Nice. I stopped being vegan after I read this article.

That looks like fish on that sushi.
There is no chemical found in meat that isn’t also 1) found in plants, or 2) produced naturally by our bodies. Creatine for example is naturally produced by our bodies.
