A digital sheet of concept with four time the same character: a tiny cute sloth. First post is happy with a little heart nearby their head. A pose expresses surprise. Another full body pose shows the sloth in a three, curious. Last pose is about the sloth eating leaves and being happy excited about it.

@liaizon Hey, Lemmy's license is what I could guess GNU Afero, along https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/blob/main/src/assets/icons/favicon.svg file (used on the README). But each time I used Lemmy, I had comments about controversies about Lemmy's creators. So far, no report about the accusations on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemmy_(software), so hard to know what's true or not. I prefer to not touch at the moment and let time clarify.

For PixelFred, I haven't found a clear license so far, all I have is https://github.com/pixelfed/brand-assets/tree/master , and nothing is mentioned.

Yes, their homepage lag a bit (like a sloth) to reflect the information on the README at the root of their project dev: https://codeberg.org/superseriousbusiness/gotosocial#user-content-image-attribution-and-licensing , You'll find the change done 4 month ago in this commit: https://codeberg.org/superseriousbusiness/gotosocial/commit/1603a7fd484bcf47818f388023610898d464a558 (because I asked to clarify the licensing of the mascot before reusing).

I'm sure an update to the homepage will follow soonβ„’.

@wmd No, it's not a derivation. But it is in the "fair-use" area (like fan-arts): in front of a jury, it wouldn't be hard to tell the artwork has too many similar elements and so is copying the licensor properties. That's why in this case, it's more fair for me to directly license it and attribute in a similar fashion as the root material.

Flaxy O'Hare is licensed as CC0. It was perhaps a bit unwise to license it so freely, but I hope it will remain in use only by Friendica project. πŸ˜€

Yes, it's me 😳 My only wish is for this mascot to help spread the word about Friendica, so I care less about credits. If credits are present, it's great; if there's no place for them, no problem too! πŸ˜€
