My first attempt at recording when I'm sketching with a ballpoint pen. I couldn't say that I was relaxed enough when I started recording, as I had problems with video, focus, camera shake, light, saving the recording, resolution, etc. But it was a first test and I'm sharing it for curiosity. Goal: To record a drawing class and post it on my main channel.

Ça n'a pas l'air tendu/hésitant du tout. La façon dont le dessin "coule" naturellement de ton stylo, avec des perspectives et des proportions fidèles, me sidère comme à chaque fois que j'ai la chance de te voir à l'oeuvre. Tu avais fait des recherches préliminaires, ou c'était une improvisation feuille blanche totale? Comme d'hab', mon ami: tu assures.

@oliviersaraja Coucou et merci 😊 Alors c'était une totale impro, au début je fais un nénuphare et une tige coupé par accident, et je me dis "oh m***e, c'est nul, on dirait un beret" ... et ça devient un beret, puis au début je veux lui faire une épée qu'elle range dans un foureau et là je me dis: "zut: le pommeau de l'épée est nul, aucun design en bois rond et.... oh, on dirai que c'est une rame..." et donc sa continue sur le bateau. Tout le long, ce n'est que ça. C'est aussi ce que j'aime, 1/2

@oliviersaraja Je pense que ça vaudrait le coup de raconter ça en voix off sur la vidéo plutôt que la musique de fond ! C’est vraiment rigolo de voir ça prendre forme et apparaître, et d’autant plus impressionnant si on sent vraiment que tout est improvisé. Juste pour info, c’est combien la vitesse d’accélération ici ?

@amic Merci, ça peut être en effet une bonne idée la voix off pour raconter les hésitation et les réparations à la volé et changements de directions.
La vidéo est accélérée 20x; soit entre 35 et 40min de prise de vue (j'ai mis pause car je me suis battue avec l'autofocus, et la feuille dont le scotch tenait mal, et aussi a un moment; j'ai rempli mon disque et ça c'est arrêté. Bref, toutes les erreurs d'un test.

It is just amazing how someone is able to draw without sketches, help lines, eraser, etc. Just a ballpoint pen!

Almost perfect!

I say almost, because she sits on the wrong site, if she wants to paddle correctly, instead of pushing the paddles. But those are details only people like me see and bother 😅

No, I meant that she has to sit with the back to the camera if she wants to paddle correctly.

The back of a person always shows to the front of the boat, because you pull the paddles in general.

But she has to push the paddles, if she wants to move. It might be possible to move a boat like this, but not for long 🙂

the way you can place the lines on the paper without any pencil guidelines and get all the proportions mostly correct, and the way you do the line work that can give the drawing the illusion of depth and of moving water, is a skill that must have taken many thousands of hours of practice.

Rarement une vidéo aura aussi bien illustré (sans mauvais jeu de mots) à quel point même un petit dessin peu se révéler être un travail de longue haleine.
