!Friendica Support how does the DISLIKE button work? Is it just humorous for me? If not what other feedback is received, how does it effect what I or others, particuarly outside #Friendica, see?

In nothing. It's just what you see, an option to express a "dislike".
In general there is no algorythm sorting your stream out here.
This is a Friendica-only feature, and even then it can be disabled on a user-basis. I personally don't use it, the ambiguity paired with the negative sentiment expression just doesn't sit well with me. Even a Dislike in solidarity needs to be explicited in a written comment, which negates the convenience of having an action button for it.

I've been meaning to remove it, but there wasn't a strong enough consensus for it, which is why I turned it into a user-controlled setting as a compromise.
@Hypolite Petovan@Ji Fu Are there no other UIs that show Feiendica's dislike? Not even Misskey? Apart from the Friendica-derivatives like Hubzilla and Stream, of course.
Now that you ask me about specific platforms, I'd be hard-pressed to answer.
I appreciate you not removing it. The ability to DISLIKE is one of the selling points I've been ale to use with my #IRL friends still on freedom-denying closed source big government backed corporate social media, as it is a feature that #Facebook users have been requesting for years.
The dislike is in fact an activity that is part of the ActivityPub protocol: https://www.w3.org/TR/activitystreams-vocabulary/#dfn-dislike

I don't know which systems are using it.
The dislikes are seen by others, but of course only on platforms that support them. For example, it works on #Lemmy and #Peertube.
