Hello !Friendica Support
any cool idea what to do with the domain mistpark.com? πŸ˜€

For the historical background of the name...

"Friendica (formerly Friendika, originally Mistpark) is an open, free, distributed social network."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friendica

Redirection to friendi.ca if it isn’t too late.
@Hypolite Petovan I said a "cool idea"... That is the boring solution. πŸ˜€
I'll consider this when I don't find a better idea.
@Andy H3
Yes the page is already running on my server.
@Michael Vogel One with only duepuntozero theme enabled, no add-ons and only DFRN protocol support to match the features of the original Mistpark software? 😜
I think you need to dig out the Lazoo (was it spelled this way?) theme. A retro server :) though I would let the "modern" features active.
@Tobias
I just had a look at the old Mistpark repo. The theme names were... special. :-) "goldenrod", "shady". But I couldn't find anything like "Lazoo".
Hmm. This could be a nice background image.

Oh, I didn’t realize you got it, I thought you noticed it had been bought by someone else.

In this case, I have even less cool ideas for it. I’m not really interested in what came before since it can’t really be ran on its own as a federated social network software anymore.
No, if it could I’d have suggested it! However Mistpark is immutable as the name describes a branch of computer software until it got renamed.
Hasn’t all of that being already done (or in progress) in Friendica since it’s its direct successor?
Yeah, from what I know of the Friendica history it’s still the same project as Mistpark, just with a new name, contributors, an additional supported protocol, tests! etc...
I can only trust you on that, I didn’t experience it, and it is unlikely I would have enjoyed it. Most of Friendica’s appeal for me is the frio theme!
@Steffen K9 🐰 ah you are right, there is a working repo :) Loozah was the default theme.

Special? perfect for a retro node :D
Mainly that it’s PHP code I can understand, improve (and gripe about). I’ve looked into Pixelfed code based on the Laravel framework and it’s alien to me. On the other hand Friendica gives me a familiar sense of obsoleteness.

Current? Not even close! I’m usually joking that I specialize in bringing 10 years old code to 5 years old standards and this project doesn’t escape the trope.
