I must admit I got disappointed working on this because while it took me hours upon hours to refactor the code, remove all the tendrils of the multi-profile feature and plan the migration to the custom profile fields one, visually it isn’t strikingly different and it felt underwhelming.
@Hypolite Petovan Yes. Maybe it isn't visually overwhelming. But still, one of the most confusing features - confusing functionality and usability - is working much better now. And to manage the migration is an amazing achievement!
Thanks, I appreciate the enthusiasm. What started as routine bugfixing ended up being one of the most mind-taxing tasks I set myself to do on #Friendica.
Hey, Steffen K9 &/or Hypolite Petovan -- it sounds as if you'd be the ones around here to know what happened recently (within the last couple weeks or so) to Profile pages, specifically the disappearance of the "Interests" category. I just posted on this a few minutes ago; I had much kilobytage of data under that category that is now missing, and I'd like to know what happened to it -- and even more so, to get it back! Any idea? Thanks.
Please check your profile settings, under "Custom Profile Fields" you should have one that reads "Interests:" with what used to be in that field. If it's missing, I'm afraid @Steffen K9 🐰 will have to fish the lost data in a database backup preceding the update to the new custom profile fields.
